Paws of Valor Animal Rescue was created to help homeless pets in East Tennessee receive the veterinary care and forever homes that they deserve. Our focus is on saving adoptable animals located in kill-shelters in rural communities, as well as re-homing pets that are “pound bound.” All animals that Paws of Valor Animal Rescue commit to taking in receive comprehensive vetting, including mandatory spay/neuter, prior to adoption. This is how we are ensure that the number of healthy, adoptable pets being killed daily in shelters in the south decreases. We are a foster-based rescue, which means are adoptable animals have been living in foster homes in the East Tennessee area prior to adoption. Bringing a new furry family member into your home is a big step, and a lifetime commitment, and we work very hard to make sure that adopters and their selected pet are a good match. Most of our adoptions are to the New England area, although we will consider local adoptions. Our standard New England adoption fee is $450, which includes all vetting and transport fees; there are reduced fees available on our senior pets, special needs pets, and local adoptions.
Paws of Valor Animal Rescue is operated by Amanda Morgan and her family in Cleveland, TN. Amanda has spent the past few years volunteering in local shelters, where she photographs animals on “death row” to help increase their chances of adoption. Working closely with shelter pets was an eye-opening experience to the reality of euthanasia in rural animal shelters, and Amanda knew that her mission was to help decrease the number of adoptable pets killed daily. Using the knowledge gained in the shelters and as an adoption coordinator for a fellow rescue group, Paws of Valor Animal Rescue was formed.
We encourage you to contact us via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or to inquire about adopting our animals.
